764 is the way to go in my opinion. It can handle your needs. I've used it for jerkbaits, once you're used to the length, you can make it work.

I've got the 704CB, 764CB RM, and the 765CB Glass... Really love the 764, can use that rod for anything. Thought about potentially getting the 806 for 10xd's and such.
