If you use the white ones, you can pop the eyes out and heat in an oven and powder paint whatever color you want right over the top.

Re: Pixy drag.

There are several things that could be happening. Number one on the list to check is making sure the spring washers are correctly oriented. The pixy should have one thin shim sitting directly on top of the bearing, 2 spring washers oriented like this (), and one thicker washer directly under the dr...

Re: Ned Rig

All I have done is snag and loose ever Ned rig I have thrown out. I've tried weedless and lost that one too haha. I have this problem too. I think the head gets lodged between rocks and just won't come loose. I lost 5 in one day a few months back lol. If you are loosing lots of baits, one of the th...

Re: help with gears sticking

I have a tatula that seems to have an issue with the gears sticking. By that i mean once every rotation of the handle, the gears with catch/stop/stick. It makes a knocking or ticking sound every rotation as well. I checked the spool and pinion bearings and they are all smooth. The issue also occurs...

Re: shimano reels more powerful than daiwa?

What are the physical sizes of gears compared? Spool diameter also matters. Let me reword my question a little. Why do larger gears make more torque than a smaller set of gears of the same ratio. Assume they are using an equal sized spool. I mean I understand the difference between a windmill and a...

Re: shimano reels more powerful than daiwa?

Power is tied to gear ratio with handle length and has nothing to do with brand. And gear size. x2 on the gear size... Most bc reels have evolved the dropped gear box to increase or maintain larger overall gear sizes. Shimano of course has an acronym for this.. HEG (high efficiency gearing) and the...

Re: shimano reels more powerful than daiwa?

Gear ratio, handle length and bearings on pinion are factors but my t3 with 8.1 has n't the power than met xg with 3mm more handle.I guess shimano is a step ahead in gearing technology and I love my t3... I can echoe this my met XG is far more powerful than my t3b 8:1. Not to argue but thought that ...

Re: True Wake Baits

Not sure if the Deps Buzzjet meets your definition of a crankbait style wake bait, but they wake very nice at a steady retrieve, and can also be worked a number of other ways.
