after 11 1/2 hours in a sandwich baggie, there are still no signs of any meltdown. no stickiness. no color bleed that i can tell. i am going to leave the bag intact for the rest of a full day, then check it tonight. and with this i hit 100 posts!

that looks like a good repair. i like the spigot material you used. at that point way up on the rod, near the tip, the repair should be fine. keep us posted.

the brake case on the left side plate may have been turned 180 degrees from original. also, the latch may have just been turned short of full tightness. it will still lock up but there will be a bit of play/movement in the side plate. if key is turned full range i'd check the brake case for wrong po...

what reel are we enhancing? some are fine/excellent as is. some need a little help.
