These are a bit over your stated budget, but I would go with:
803-Core 50/1
764-Calcutta TE 100/1

Re: Favorite Walking Bait
Although I love the Bowstick and Gunfish this Tylure Walking Shad produces just a little better. It sits tail down and has kind of a erratic walk and will have the same erratic walk subsurface, thats when most of my bites happen. Anyway, I really like this bait. Re: Cumulus, don't hear much about them.
I've been using the 7'1"/Core 51 combo for 1/4oz T-rigged 6" Fat Roboworms, in light cover, and I am super happy. No problems here.

Another fan here. They really do seem to get bit when most other baits will not. As mentioned, they cast very well into the wind.

I still use the balsa a lot in the Spring; for 'eyes as well. I have a ton of confidence in the yellow perch pattern.

Re: Favorite Popper
Berkley Frenzy Popper I got a question for people who love the MB Pop X. What is your tackle set up for throwing them? I bought a Pop X last year and the performance on my regular topwater popper gear was terrible. I threw it on a Gloomis 783C IMX with 14lb Fireline and a Shimano Crucial 6'8' mediu...
