7.7 gears at Japan Tackle
I see Japan Tackle has some 7.7 ratio gear sets for 50 and 1000 size Shimano bait casters.

Re: Why are Shimano reels so much smoother than Daiwa?
Overall my Daiwa's { mostly Zillion's } are smoother than my Shimano's.

My first bait caster - Ambassadeur 521 XLT Plus. It would be cool to fish with it once and awhile.

I would have bought one if they were offered in a lefty.MondayMonkey wrote:I had a mint tuned Daiwa BAPE (Zillion Bathing Ape Edition) that I sold a few years ago. I've never seen one since and I'm always keeping an eye out. Makes me curious just how rare it was.

Re: Daiwa Re-Images Their Stalwart : Zillion TWS
I wish it had the flip hood like the T3. It would have a lower profile and you can instantly engage the spool. The cool factor is a plus too. The 5.5:1 Zillion is not available in a lefty. The JDM version comes in a left hander though.

Re: TD Zillion vs Curado I: better workhorse reel
I love my 6 Zillions. For heavier lures they cast great but for lighter lures I have to use a 100m spool. Also I installed handles with bearings in the knobs because the stock knobs wobble to much for my liking. I tried out a Curado I but I returned it. I thought it casted great but there is a spot ...

Re: New Aldebaran and Metanium DC small pics and specs
Hard to take pics with one hand. Lol. I'm just showing how thr reel is lower profile and palmability. The size is similar but the reel is super comfortable and light. The thumb rest area has me concerned about comfort because of those contours and edges. What are your thoughts. I wouldn't worry abo...

Re: New Aldebaran and Metanium DC small pics and specs
Here are some comparison pictures of the Aldebaran vs Core50. That's amazing. I can't believe it's a little shorter and smaller than the Core. That handle looks pretty neat as well. I love the color and the little details of red on the Core. Shimano designed that reel really well...I hope Calcutta ...
