Oh, sorry...it's a good bit longer that my stock DC100 handle. Has Shimano decided to sell the DC250 knobs separately yet?

The DC250 handle will fit it...longer, bigger knobs, I love it on my DC100.

What if we bring them over...will they fit?

...that weighs 8 ounces. How about you import the 1000S spool and sell it as an option (if it fits that is)?

I agree...beautiful little reel...I can easily see me buying one...now about that 1000S spool...

Are you saying the new Stella 1000FD has a body that is actually smaller than earlier 1000 models? I did find it to be a very nice, surprisingly small and extremely smooth little reel....a significant amount of slobbering did occur.

Maybe we can introduce something like this for our reels to make everyone happy? Sorry...no cigar from me. I want a Stella 500 with a 1000S spool that weights a bit over 5oz. I have a very sexy GLoomis SJR6400 that is soooo tired of the cheap Daiwa Laguna 500 that is on it now. Of course, if Daiwa ...

You've seen it before but this is my favorite tricked out Shimano...you can't see the TG bearings but they're in there...the Septon Power knobs that you can't buy separately are special too...they came from my Conquest 50 handle.

Inquiring minds want to know. If so, are there any special precautions or cleaning/maintenance tips?

I agree. Salt safe, under 7 oz. and 25# of drag...the inshore guys are going to love that.

Getting it out of the spool makes a Calcutta DC50 possible maybe?
