I'm using same technic.It works great and you can reuse them many times.

Smaller ones 3/16 and 1/4 I'm using on MBR 842/MG51/10lb braid. 3/8 onMBR843/steez/20 braid.No problem.

I'm using #10 832 on CC 101DC and #10 Sufix performance on MG51.I like them.Handles effortlessly and you can cast
a mile.Just spool them very tight.KVD lure and line will help also.Samurai sounds better,but more expensive.
