Re: Tatsu, Gamma Edge or Sniper?
I've fished with several different fluorocarbons and I prefer 12-16 lb. FC Sniper for moving baits: spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, crankbaits, swim jigs, swim baits, etc.

Wow! Bravo!
I've been STRONGLY considering a Calcutta Conquest 200 and I've even thought about trying the Megabass I-Slide 135. Your pics may have just "doomed" me.

Re: G. Loomis GLX JWR 852/3 or 4?
Based on what you "throw", I'd recommend the 854. I have the NRX version in an 853 and 854, and while both rods serve certain purposes, the 854 is much more versatile. Just my $.02.

Congrats! I think you're going to be blown away with the feel of your new combo.

Re: Shimano chronarch e vs curado i.
All 3 reels are good. Having said that, the Ci4 gets my vote because it's the lightest. It's almost a full ounce lighter than the Curado I.
I'm sure there will be some holiday sales that will get it closer to your price range.

Re: Fall Jerkbaits Article/NRX ?
I have an NRX 802C JWR dedicated for jerkbaits and topwater baits(up to 1/2 oz.). I like the shorter length(6'8") which keeps me from slapping the water. Because the rod is so light, I can fish longer without my wrist falling off. I have another NRX 802C JWR that I use for spinnerbaits and cha...

The Spro Fat John 60 has performed well for me. I've put several of those little guys "through the ringer".

Re: Looking fo the right line for my set-up.
I LOVE them. I've been using NRX rods on my spinning and casting gear for years. However, the new Stella FI series has taken spinning reels to the next level. I didn't think that was possible after using the Stella FE series for a few years. You're in for quite a treat.

I agree. The only exception being when I use a loop knot with mono for certain topwater baits.Bassmar wrote:I use a Palomar knot with braid, mono and flouro. Never had any problems. Just wet it well.

Re: Looking fo the right line for my set-up.
I have a Stella 2500 FI paired with an NRX 822 SYR and a Stella 3000 FI paired with an NRX 852(both similar to your set-up) and I've been using Sunline FC Sniper in both 6lb. and 7lb. test for tubes, weightless Senkos, shakeyheads and drop shots. I have been very pleased with strength, sensitivity a...

That is one HECK of a collection!
I don't own any round reels, but I've recently been looking at the new Calcutta Conquest 200.
