That's correct. The black bearings are CRBBs.

Re: Who knows better? KVD or Clunn?

I think the answer is they're both correct, but what they're correct about isn't which is better, it's which suits their style and preferences. I think being aware of one's own tendencies and fishing style is really overlooked, and KVD vs. Clunn's answer to this question is a really good example of...

You can get an outstanding custom for less than $450!

Re: Differences in Alphas reels

I have a Alphas type R and the spool is different from the I'ze factory. In fact the Type R spool weights 15.31g while the I'ze factory weights 16.64g and the Sol spool 16.31g. Also the placement of the inductors is different in all spool and I believe also the inductor's spring and centrifugal wei...

Re: What do you look for in a rod?

I've latched onto customs, so that is the biggest thing that changed for me. There are very few production rods I'd buy.

Re: Electric Only / Low HP Motor Lakes

I live just a short drive south of Lake Erie in PA and most of our lakes are either 10hp and electric only or they are unlimited horsepower w/ no wake. It really makes for a peaceful fishing experience and like Tok, I fish Erie often, but it's so massive, I can always fire up big momma and get away...

Re: Upset Shimano fan!!!

The Curado E 7 in 5:1 ratio in LEFT HAND isn't made yet and I spoke to a rep and it doesn't look good for this year. Im a rig...

Re: Yo Zuri Hybrid ?Stretch?

Does everyone prefer the Ultra Soft YZH over the regular? I've been thinking about picking up a spool or two just not sure if I should go with US or not. I know the US is supposed to be more supple for use on spinning reels, but a line's manageability is a huge factor for me even on a baitcaster. S...

Re: Zillion 100H HCL

Yes, I think the 100M spool would be a better pitching spool for the Zillion. x2 Hard to control when casting tho...at least it was for me. Some other users don't seem to have that issue...some do. However, I've found the HLC spool is no slouch for pitching, but I pitch with all the brakes off. I w...

Re: My only 3 bass rod

Great looking combos! I love the Sol's original color, but both those customs look SICK! In time your collection will grow. Until then, quality over quantity! :D And the handles are on the CORRECT side!  Quality over quantity is definitely the way to go. I learned this the expensive way....
