Put in a set of Abec 5 ceramic bearings and a set of carbontex drag washers.
You can get both at Smooth drag. 1-888-206-4656

Re: Worm Rod GLX, IMX, or dropshot crucial for chronarch 50m
Try a 703C or 704C Dobyns rod. They are both great worm and jig rods and would be a nice balance for the MG.

Re: Is it just me or is the XRap..
I agree. I have a box of JDM pieces of garbage jerk baits that I have never caught a fish with.
I like the XRaps. They work great for West Texas Fish. It may be the fish here do not understand the rattles that are in the JDM jerks.
They don't have the Cowboy slang to them.

Re: Which braid for frogs?
I fish Lilly pads a lot and use 50LB Power pro braid.
I have also been playing with 16 and 20 lb Sunline FC Sniper with good luck.

Re: plastic frogs
I have used the Spro frog for a few years and liked them until I got out fished 3 to 1 with Splash using a Snag Proof frog. Both my frog and his Snag Proof were about the same color and we were fishing the same lilly pads. The snag proof got a lot more blow ups and hits than my spro. I will have a f...

Re: Dobyns 703c/704c with Revo Stx
If you want to go to 1 oz then the 704C is the rod. The 704 is my # 1 jig rod. I use 1/4 to 3/4 oz gigs with trailers on it. It is one sweet rod for what I use it for. I use my 703C for plastics of all size and rig it T/rig most of the time with a 3/16 to 1/4 weight. A Revo reel will be a great reel...
