Re: Daiwa service department
I’m wondering if anyone has experience with getting reels serviced by Daiwa’s service department. What was your experience like and how was the turn around time? I have gotten my reels serviced by the tackle trap and had a great experience. However I get too worried about shipping all my high end r...

Re: I require red
Nice! You may have talked me into converting my sv105 to bfs and buying a zil sv100 g for my tube dark sleeper rod. Have fun on your trip!

Re: Shimano Expride B Spinning Rods
To me, shimano made the new handle wrong. You're just holding it wrong! Seriously! I don't know how you hold behind! When I hold all my fingers in front of reel my knuckles hit the bail sometimes and close it mid cast. It's more comfortable to hold in front of reel on retrieve and better leve...

Here is another poor man's Personal Order that I think I have posted on here before :D It's good to see some Fuego love on this thread. This workhorse has been seeing a lot of use lately throwing small hardbaits. The Ray's spool is great for that. OG Fuego! Sick reel. Been looking to find a Sol on ...

Re: Post purple
Actually I'm glad St. Croix didn't use winding checks between the grips on the Mojo. They use threading in place of a winding check and layer it in such a way as to follow the taper of the cork. This means I can heat shrink the handle and produce a look that should be very close to a Legend Extreme...

Re: A list of great spool swaps
So many to list, but I think these are my two favorites - 1012SV in any of the limited Steez reels, previous generation such as the SV103 and SV105. SLP Works or Megabass 1010 spool in just about any 34mm reel. Not necessarily a straight swap, but the 34mm KTF Neo in a Tdz, Type R in my case. Nice,...

Re: A list of great spool swaps
I guess there is also a tatula sv103 and zillion sv 103, I'm talking just Daiwa sv103. It's a 34mm spool so I think there are a lot of spool options for it.

Re: A list of great spool swaps
Would a Daiwa SLP Works RCSB # 1000 SV Spool (PP) be as good as stock sv103 spool for skipping? I'm guessing it's a little faster but I can get it cheaper than a stock replacement sv103 spool from daiwa. It's purple and will match purple accents on reel. Which SV103 reel are you referring to? Thoug...

Spool inductor spring/ cool spool for sv103
I need just a inductor spring for my sv103. is there a good website for aftermarket springs? I talked to daiwa and they say I need to order a whole spool kit, 84.00. if I can't get just the spring. I think it would be fun to just swap in a different spool. I'm going to use it with a GLX 854c for ski...
Re: St Croix
I have a couple avid spinning rods, a 7mh mojo bass and 7mh LE. I like the avid spinning rods, painted blanks more durable, my friends can beat them up, not worried about it, same with the mojo. The LE is nice, use it for bigger top waters, spinner baits. I'm a sconi guy so I like reppin' st.croix a...
