Re: Calcutta DC Handles to Conquest

Don't think there ever was a Calcutta 251DC made, only the 250DC. But looking at those pictures it seems the handle comes with the power septon grips which don't have a right or left hand shape. So it'll fit fine.

Re: 5 fish over 10lbs, one day... the stuff dreams are made

Man I'm speechless!!! Just looking at the pics I'm shaking. And to catch em on some sweet JDM gear to top it off. First time I've heard of an XBD stick being used for cranks but if 10 pounders are latched onto the crank I guess you need some balls to turn their heads around. Which Destruction "explo...

Re: deps Z 2020?

Recently Daiwa and Megabass joined forces to create special edition reels. Don't think Daiwa will be collaborating with Deps for reels anytime soon.

Re: New Daiwa Goodies For 2012

For the $ being asked for the Japan edition Zillion, it'd be silly not to get the Z instead as it has more features, and by all accounts from owners it seems to be living up to all the expectations and more. Now to save up for a lefty Z.

Re: The 'new' Zillion

Price needs to be lowered. Out of the Zillions, my preference would be to get the Type-R, best overall bang for the buck for performance (great casting/pitching ability, strongest drag of all Zillions, bearing supported CF handle, and nice black color scheme lol)

Re: Crankbaits - What is your favorite rod ?

Megabass Tomahawk Shiryu 6'6" for close range square bill cranks, Steez 7' Flex E Lite for medium divers and open water. Don't throw a ton of deep divers yet, but have a Fenwick Elite Tech 7'3" Crankshaft for the deep divers.

Re: BIG Spinnerbaits!

I throw the now discontinued Terminator Heavy-T series, 1 oz baits. Also tried the Lil Hustler Escort series http://www.lilhustler.com/product_escort.shtml
The same company makes a musky spinner bait which has a BIG profile!

Re: Revo SX

Ya, same here. I owned a first generation SX and it was very hard to dial in. I found it to cast better with 1/2 oz or heavier weights into winds, if you went below 3/8 oz it'd backlash more frequently. For some reason the centrifugal Revo S seems to be a better casting/pitching reel for me.

Re: from my wife for christmas

Too funny!!! My gf knows which online stores I browse and is familiar with Plat, Ichiban, etc. It's just that she knows too much about the ever increasing pile of fishing tackle sometimes, I think.
Anyways, you've got a wonderful wife if she could track those items down on her own.
