Re: Interested in a new rod...

Landed a 5lb rainbow, a 10lb carp and multiple suckers up to about 7lbs tbis week with my ET River Runner. All in current with 6lb Sunline Supernatural. This rod never ceases to impress me.

Gen 2 Omen and Citica "I" would make a really nice combo.

Wow Frosty you hit triple digits with this thread. Welcome to TT! I see you are attempting to take up Thor's vacant throne. As aggravating as he was, he was twice as smart as you. You have chosen a tough row to hoe. Your initial "mommy" comment was the first shot fired, unless you are so insecure t...

Re: Worms

In simplicity it's just a different profile to offer the fish where you would normally texas rig something, for me anyways. It was the original T Rig soft plastic for most of us. Then guys got on to flipping tubes, and then the creature bait came along and opened Pandora's Box. Like most other style...

My favourite hard baits for trout right there.
Our resident Brownies love them. Bows get munching when they are hungry too.

Can we see some pics and hear the story?
Stripped gears is a pretty big deal in a new production reel.

Re: Looking for a light rod - Suggestions?

I havent done much more than pitch jig and float combos for crappie on it with an Aldeberan, but i think that the Omen 610mlA might be the perfect tweener BFS rod.
It has enough backbone to be a finesse rod for big smallies but such a sweet tip.

Just so you know the Lexa was one of the reels that began feeling rough after a few trips. It didnt improve a whole lot after service.

Re: When a new Shimano large capacity reel...?

I don't doubt for a minute that there will be an update, eventually to the 300 series Shimanos. However, in defense of the current iteration, I don't believe that weight and size are much of an issue, due to the nature of the fishing you will likely do with it. It's smooth, is an excellent caster fo...
