Re: Best "walk-the-dog?"
easiest to walk - zipbait fakie dog
loudest during walk - waterland splash sounder
best pop and walk - lucky craft gunfish
widest walks - very dependent on how manage the slack (pugachev cobra, driving wire, sammy)
most affordable - cotton cordel pencil

Re: TDZ R+ or Steez
At the moment you can't beat a Steez(on clearance for a song). The 100 is the best bet. The R+ is a great reel but still needs attention out the box.A new swept handle/drag star will set you back a good few dollars. Not to mention the notoriously pathetic paint job on the TD-Z platform that chips and...

Re: TDZ R+ or Steez
put steez on a rod also the tdz.
you will find steez way smaller.
also the speed is different. what application is it for.
honestly, i just feel steez is more versatile.

Re: Are sub $200 reels equivalent to the $500 reels of the p
"value for money reel" is hyper subjective.
Someone whom has the $ power and appreciates the union of form and function sees the value item, others might think otherwise.
Choose what you like to use. Ask yourself if can u afford it and use it? if not, choose otherwise.

stx over premier.
IVCB cast shorter than the dual brakes. Just feel that the IVCB has too much authority that it shortens the cast.

Re: Conquest DC.... or J Dream?
If you are using for salt (mackerel), I would drop DC201, even though it is salty ready.
If it is just jerk bait or popper, a 7.9 is sweet but heavier lures Z should have a better edge.
I would pick J dream cause of the weight. You wont want to pop all day using a Z.
