Souped up Steez
Found a metallic red color at a local hardware store and just painted the knob end caps myself.

I hope so-it's supposed to get down below zero this weekend and stay that way for a few days-yuck! Pray for an early spring.

Re: Souped up Steez
Thanks guys. I used the combo for jig fishing last season and it's by far the best combo I've ever had. I'm not sure the ZPI spool casts any better than the stock spool, but it's very smooth and performs well for the pitch type casts I generally make. Not sure weight wise if there's any difference. ...

Re: 2 Ito 103hl
For what it's worth... I recently bought a reel from this seller described as "mint". My interpretation of mint is like new/clean, this reel had way too many small marks/nicks for me to consider it mint. I still feel I got a good reel for the price, I was just a little surprised that the condition d...

Re: Golllllly mollllly ! those who have ordered rods from Pl
I bought a Steez Flogger from Plat and it arrived in a PVC tube and was packed so well I had a hard time getting the rod out! Excellent service, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.

I've got the same rod and it's become my favorite jig and pig rod, especially 1/4 to 3/8 oz jigs.

Re: Daiwa TD-Z Type-R+ Parts Question
I'm the one Nautilus kindly referred to. I don't have an airbrush so I went to an auto parts store for the can of auto paint and clear coat. Actually the auto paint is cheaper at Walmart and they had the same stuff. I put some tape about an inch below the tip of a pencil and stuck the star drag on i...

Re: Question on Purchasing from Plats.
Just to chime in, Plat's customer service is excellent. I bought a Daiwa Flogger from Plat and was extremely impressed on how well it was packed, PVC pipe, etc. Wouldn't hesitate to order another rod thru him. Dan

I tried the 10 lb test and didn't care for it. It's not clear and has more memory than I like. I'd stick with the PP. Dan

Thanks. I'm pretty much at the stripped stage. The other side came off pretty easy, this ones the devil! Thanks Dan
