It also wouldn't suprise me, but as far as I have heard there isn't anything in the works yet. Still waiting for my Alphas SV MB reel...

Re: CP-301 with heavier line - Great for jigs!
I know the CP-301 spool is designed as a finesse spool for the Pixy platform where it certainly performs great, but I spooled up 12 lb Tatsu on it and threw it in my PX Type R to try for jigs. And it performs phenomenally as a standard size jig reel with heavier line in this or a Pixzilla with enou...

Re: Millionaire m-ito best suited for?
I use a monobock spool in mine and throw swimbaits with it no problem. I throw 20 pound floro, but also have a spool with heavier braid. I have never had line cap issues with it, but it's close

Re: Too many choices.... which shimano?
Buy Daiwa. Love life.
The SV103 is good for the money, the TD-Z is a classic and so solid, a OG zillion would handle your heavy cover stuff really well. But seriously. If you want to stick to Shimano, the Chronarch is a solid reel, no complaints there

Re: Steez spool options
Blue emblem, SV spool or IS finesse are all good options. The Blue emblem is the best of the bunch, but you're going to pay for it. One just sold for $250 in the classifieds here. They pop up from time to time and don't last at $250. Market is $250-300 on one in great shape these days, having fished...

Re: Cabin Fever Part 1.....
Wow another Burroughs owner! How is the 711H compared to your MB Heavy rods? I just picked up an Evoluzion Ti Red Demon myself this winter and tried mounting my my JDream 79 as you did. It felt ok and isn't final yet, but i might try a round reel. I put a monoblock on mine. Just got it too, rounder...
