depends on the line material, I use the trilene knot for mono, copoly, and fluoro and the palomar for braid. I have tried many others but these have been the most dependable for me.

I don't particularly like round reels for jerkbaits, but the 100DC is excellent (I use mine for cranks) and the Conquest 50 works better than most round reels for this technique. I prefer slower reels for jerkbaits, 5.1-6.3, Calais 100, core 100mg, chronarch/curado 50e etc Or just get a Zonda and go...

Get yourself a Shimano Calais 100 while you can, absolutely killer reel for these techniques

I don't think it will be all that economical if you have to remove your line to change to a shallow spool or vice versa

Catherine is replacing two of mine that were lightly used before they broke, very pleased as I dont believe they need to do this, but it shows that they care about their customers. A+ for MegabassUSA customer service!!
