In the same boat myself. If you have a hard time trying to find some I used the Exthread last year and had no issues.

Optimum Double Diamond is super underrated but most of the time I throw a Keitech.

2012 bfs xg is the best bfs reel for NA imo. handles braid, super palmable, solid design, and handles 1/8 to 1/2 just fine.

Mine is a 5.8:1. Micro mod gears too. Have you tried throwing any resistance baits with it? Or baits over 1/2 oz? Yes they match in color but I need something to perform- I don't want to get worn out if I'm throwing a crankbait all day.
