Re: Classic Winner Randy Howell and Tatula

Howell caught all the fish the last day with tatula & steez rods with steez reels there are pictures and video on the net. Daiwa is using this as opportunity to push the tatula to the masses even if he didn't use the reels. Randy Howell has been nothing but brutally honest about about what he was u...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods

But in the video Randy states, "new Tatula crankbait rod prototype coming soon". I'm still confused. Why would he say that if it was a rod that was already available? The video was shot early last year when the entire Tatula lineup was still in the prototype stage for most part. Notice where in the...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods

Hey guys Darkhorse is spot on that is the prototype of the Tatula 701MLRB which is already out. I saw the video and thought that maybe Daiwa was coming out with some additional Tatulas with a solid grip. The rod listed above does have a solid grip and would make a mean wiggle wart rod I had my hand...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods

Got confirmation tonight that it was indeed a Tatula 701MLRB rod that he was using yesterday. He used all Tatula reels as well. I was pretty sure that video link was from last spring and I had not seen any more Tatula CB rods come down the line yet but that is not to say there will not be in the fu...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods

So there are two 701mlrb models? One with a full handle? Where can I order this rod? I want one! No, there is just one 701MLRB but it is the only Tatula rod with a full handle as of right now. Others may be added but I have not heard if or when. As I mentioned earlier its also a tad shorter handle ...

Re: New Tatula Cranking rods

The rod he was using is ALREADY in the Tatula lineup. IT is the 701MLRB which has a full handle that is a tad shorter in overall length than the split grips on the other models. It helps to reduce getting caught in clothing etc when casting. Helps in close quarters casting as well. Howell designed ...

Re: Has anyone thrown the 13 envy Crankenstein?

I'm aware of the dobyns rods. Great rods. I'm just end interested to hear about the Crankenstein. I was wondering if the 13 Crankenstein would be a good choice or if there is something better out there. You might want to edit your original post then. You mention on there if there is anything better...

Re: Daiwa Tatula Issue?

As I said in the other thread on this. I am leaning towards BS, Chances are its a competing pro staffer or someone with an association with a different company trying to stir controversy. It is far too easy to contact Daiwa if you had that serious an issue and get it resolved. Their CS is second to ...

Re: Zillion Type R or Tatula Type R????

There is a misconception the Tatula is wider than the Zillion. Even Daiwa themselves advise its almost the same width and that the Tatula is NOT wider. The pictures posted do a great job of showing that.

Re: Which Daiwa Frog Rod?

I have used both the Lexa and Tatula frog rod. Between the two the Tatula has the softer tip, feels better and can double up on some other techniques. the Lexa is a beast of a rod but in a good way. Its what I call a true heavy frog stick. Both rods are impressive at the price point they are at.

Re: Daiwa t3 ballistic vs Daiwa Tatula type r

I was wondering, how can anyone say one reel is better than another when one of them is not out yet? :-k I'm sure Daiwa will sell a ton of Tatulas but I' guess that here at TT there will be lots of disappointed members. A few retailesr have VERY limited stock of the Tatula 100H so a very few number...

Re: TATULA TYPE R

Wonder if they will be coming out with a Tatula spinning reel :-k Ballistic, Lexa, and Aird all got one As of yesterday there are no plans currently to have a spinning reel in the Tatula family. I am sure once the baitcasters are more widely available and they begin to get feedback as well as any d...
