Re: Core 50mg still "ok" reel
I have a core I would like to put the 7.7 gears in. Looked at the tackle trap and didn't see them. Where can I find them?

Wow, I hope you are able to confirm. Would make me very happy. I'll be anxiously awaiting further confirmation.PikeRoadBassn wrote:I'm trying to confirm, but I am 99% sure the SS SV utilizes one frame for all 4 ratios, -'and is built on the larger Steez frame.

Re: SS SV103 Gear Set
I wanted to do this too. However from the reading I've done, I've come to understand faster gears will not fit into the reel if it starts as the 6.3:1 ratio. Is this true? Sorry for the highjack. Just seems like the right time and place to ask.

Re: Broken shimano zodias(What to do?)
May as well go with the Expride or Adrena. I believe it has to be a zodias but if I can get an adrena that's the route im going. doubt you will be able to get an adrena through their warranty service. When my adrena broke, they could not give me another since they did not have any in stock. What mo...

Mgl XG Topwater.
Going to pick up a Metanium mgl. It's going to be used for topwater. Most of the time I will have a Sammie or a pop-max on it. I've pretty much made up my mind to go with the XG. Figured since I'm going to have a lot of slack line it will be good to take it up fast. Just want to hear anyone else's o...

Re: Poison Adrena TWH sale
My 6'10 M/MF arrived today. I think I am going to be very happy with it. I intend to use it for topwaters and think it's going to be exactly what I want. Enough power to walk a Sammie or work a pop max without flexing too much. Has good recovery, but flexes pretty deep with a load on it. Can't wait ...

Re: Poison Adrena TWH sale
Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a 6'10 M. Have wanted one for a long time. Couldn't pass it up at that price.

Orochi XX Swingfire
I was interested in getting this rod for my random treble hook needs. It is rated up to 1oz which is the heaviest I want to throw. The only thing I'm worried about is if it can truly handle 1oz comfortably. I know I have very few rods that I actually would max out its ratings. So for the guys who ha...

Daiwa "regular" taper
I was hoping to get some info on the Daiwa regular taper. Is it a true parabolic bend or closer to med-fast? Any information in general would be good, but I was thinking of two rods specifically. The zillion 7'2 MHreg crankbait and the steez XT 7'2 MH reg. I want to use the rod for topwaters, square ...

Re: JDM Mag Seal service
If you buy from one of the long standing JDM to US vendors like Japan Tackle they do offer repair service. I am pretty they can also act as a go between for maintenance from Daiwa Japan. I know Plat offers this service too. This may not be ideal for you but we are playing "what if I drop my reel in...

Re: JDM Mag Seal service
I have already talked to daiwa once, and got a very noncommittal answer. The lady who answered the call said, I can send it in but it would be up to the reel tech to decide. She said they don't have parts for some jdm models. I tried explaining to her. I don't want a repair just routine maintenance,...

Re: JDM Mag Seal service
Thanks for posting the other thread zimbass. It's really starting to seem as if servicing it won't be an option. However the last post, a guy says he has a certate that has been going good since 2010. If I can expect 5 years of use without needing to worry I am ok with whatever happens next. Whether...

JDM Mag Seal service
Did a search but couldn't find much info. I'm looking to buy a new Luvias, but worried about the inevitably of servicing. I don't want to be stuck without a way to service my reel. I vaguely recall a member here who can service mag sealed reels. Is this true, does he take customers? If so what's his...
