Re: Phenix Recon rods

On plan on pairing it with my SS SV reel.. my original plan of putting that reel on a MH rod isnt going so well.. Sorry to...

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103SHL

Thanks Biggs, ordered one a few days ago from tackle trap. Was unaware of the washer issue and don't have a tatula to borrow from. Hopefully I can find something else to solve the problem.

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103SHL

Drag star and handle can easily be changed! http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k526/bb_biggs/fbcff0a1-8b38-410b-a427-5946214fa3d5.jpg [/quote] Biggs, that looks great. Is that a stock drag star from a different daiwa? If so which one? I was going to replace with a stock steez but I think that one m...

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103SHL

I'm also one who falls into the category of not being able to fish it because of the snow, but can't see how I will be disappointed. I have owned a steez for 3 years now.Playing with it side by side with a steez it more than holds its own. Especially considering the price difference. Can't wait to g...

Re: Shipping a reel from Japan

Thanks for the responses. I was interested in an aldebaren mg7, and one guy is significantly cheaper than all the others. Is anyone familiar with the seller omotenashi-japan47? Has good feedback with over 1000 transactions but I'm always skeptical of some who is selling for a lot less than everyone ...

Shipping a reel from Japan

I've been wanting to order a reel from Japan on eBay. Unfortunately I always get cold feet because of the shipping. There is always a disclaimer about additional fees and customs fees, which the buyer will be responsible for. Can somebody who has experience with this tell me what I should expect. Is...

Thanks MTBF. I guess we don't get them in America. It's all good.

US shimano expride rod sleeves

My 6'10 m/mf Shimano expride arrived today. The rod is great and everything I was hoping for, but did come with some small disappointment. The expride branded rod sleeve I have been seeing was not included. I called the store I bought it from and was told none of the rods came with it. Is this the w...

Sunline Sniper Vs Sunline Sniper(Japan)

Does any one know if these are the same line? The American is cheaper and comes a full 200 yards. Japan only 165yards. Is there any reason to choose japan over the other?

Re: dx 743 or 744?

I have both and would also recommend the 743 for senkos and flukes. For the kietechs I think it would depend on what size you will be using and how much weight.

Re: Lew's Team Pro Speed Spool Casting Reel TLP1SH

Is there any difference between the two team pros listed on tackle warehouse?
Or is it just the minor cosmetic differences?

New GLX cranking rods

I'm looking for a rod in the GLX line that can cover a few different things. I would like it to be able to do a good job with 78 and 100 pointers, 100 Sammy's, squarebills and lipless cranks. I had the 855 in mind because I prefer the mod-fast action to moderate. However talking to one of the guys a...

Well, that is certainly a very misleading title.
