The Chronarch E is the same reel as the Curado E. They discontinued the Chronarch D series. The Curado G is the Caenan with a metal frame and more bearings.

This build inspired me to take a look at building a 4pc setup. I was going to buy a 2pc TSR Loomis, but I found the perfect 7' 3wt 4pc fly rod blank made by St.Croix that I can run as a spinning rod. Probably run Fuji Stainless SiC Guides and maybe a split grip. How do you like the VSS seat?

Shimano Curado 201DPV. It is a Shimano low pro, it is a lefty, it is 5.1 I have it on a Compre crankin stick. Picked it up NIB off ebay for $120 to my door.

I have not fished the new GL2 trout rods yet so I am not sure. The GL2 should be lighter because it is a little shorter. How do the new GL2 trout series rods stack up against standard trout series rods? Say the TSR 802-2 compared to the GL2 782STJR2. Looking for a new two piece pack in trout fishing rod and trying to stay under $300. The Wild Card warranty almost makes it worth it.
