The Chronarch E is the same reel as the Curado E. They discontinued the Chronarch D series. The Curado G is the Caenan with a metal frame and more bearings.october wrote:Ya I'm confused now too. So the chronarch is the same reel as the Curado?

Re: My latest build - St. Croix 4-piece 6' Light spinning
This build inspired me to take a look at building a 4pc setup. I was going to buy a 2pc TSR Loomis, but I found the perfect 7' 3wt 4pc fly rod blank made by St.Croix that I can run as a spinning rod. Probably run Fuji Stainless SiC Guides and maybe a split grip. How do you like the VSS seat?

Re: Dream UL combo
Mine would be exactly what I'm getting. Pflueger Patriarch 9525 Spinning reel Custom 4pc 3wt 7' fly rod built as a spinning rod. I just ordered the reel (Thanks TW for the 20% off) and with my next paycheck will be buying components for the rod. Hopefully have it built by October, But I got a Steelh...

Re: opinions on filling baitcast spool
1/4" or so usually. If I fill it up any more I tend to get birds nests right off the bat and lose the line anyway to kinks

Mudhole. I just had an issue with receiving a broken part. No questions asked it was on its way. Great CS in my opinion. They'll continue to get my money.

It's about time people speak up for Abu. All the iCast threads are full of people calling the 7.9 a "false ratio".

Re: New 2012 GLoomis Rods
I have not fished the new GL2 trout rods yet so I am not sure. The GL2 should be lighter because it is a little shorter. Sensitivity should be close to the same, with the blended graphite being slightly more sensitive. Thanks for the quick response. I'm trying to justify the extra $65 on the blende...

Re: New 2012 GLoomis Rods
How do the new GL2 trout series rods stack up against standard trout series rods? Say the TSR 802-2 compared to the GL2 782STJR2. Looking for a new two piece pack in trout fishing rod and trying to stay under $300. The Wild Card warranty almost makes it worth it.

I'll probably use P-line CX on it in 4lb or 6lb test, or both! Let me know if you decide your 30 doesnt see enough fishing time, I might be inclined to take it off your hands

Re: Pflueger 2011 ICAST ?????????
As long as the Patriarch spinning sticks around for awhile so I can scoop a few up I'll be happy. That is one sexy finesse reel. Yeah man they are nice. I have the 9530 and 9535 love them both, but I fish the 35 a lot more. I use it for soft jerkbaits on a 6'6 veritas it has landed a ton of fish wit...

Re: What products do you plan on buying from ICAST?
An MGX once it comes out in lefty. A Villain to match it. Maybe one of the new GL2 trout rods, might just stick with a TSR 862-2. Those Koppers trout baits for sure. The little Kahara frogs. Some of those soft plastic turtles because my GF thinks theyre cute  PP super slick once I see some good...

Re: Revo MGX wins ICAST 2011 "Best Freshwater Reel" award!
It's not an award for performance per se but for innovation and interest. Abu brought it with a 350 dollar reel with 500 dollar specs. What innovation? What performance? What specs? The gear ratio is faster but gets you the same IPT as last 3 years production reels. Any spinning reel is faster. Mg ...
