It most definitely is not. Shapes wrong, front plate is wrong, sideplates are wrong. It's from a Chinese or Korean OEM, most likely Doyo.Johnny A wrote:Looking at close ups. That's a Daiwa frame. TDZ type.

Re: TD Z 7.1:1 RH gears
You're all doing great collaborative work on these breeders, I salute you!! =D> =D> @jjbassnforfun: do you think you might be interested in making a set of faster gears for the ugly duckling TD-Z's...? He would have to machine a few gears. The issue with the Ugly Duck is the main gear spins two sma...

Re: Pixy ZPI-301 Spool
Very different spools. The finesse spool is really made for actual bait finesse and performs best for very light baits but is kind of fast and not that great with any normal weighted baits. The CP-301 spool can be used as a finesse spool but is not as good as the finesse spool or other true bait fi...

Re: Blue Emblem vs. Current ZPI PG and M offerings
I havent played with the PG yet, but I prefer the BE to the M. My main application was pitching and skipping and the extra control the BE delivers is unmatched. Nearly all my close combat combos are BE outfitted now. Sir what reel are you running it in? Two 10CHL's, two TD-Ito 105HL's, and a TD-Z P...

Re: TDZ 103H vs TDZ Type R
It depends on the retreive. Lefties get the ML version in the R+ which is 5.7:1. Righties get the H version which is the 6.3:1. The only lefties available with the H retrieve are the ugly ducks, the AOI, the TD-ito, and TD-Z Personal Orders. Righties get the H in the R, R+, and PO's while they get t...

Re: Pixy/Pixzilla still relevant...
Never see much mention of the PX type R. Pretty much a Pixzilla straight from the box. By far the best Pixy variant. Just that it wasn't JDM and retailed at $500 and never took off. The spool might have been an too heavy for light stuff but a spool swap can solve that. One I wish I had. Pretty much...
