Duo Realis has some nice baits that are close to 3" that work very well.

Re: This poor reel

That is a gamble for sure, internals may be flawless and maintained or never seen a drop of grease or oil.

This poor reel

I get stuff gets beat up on the water but how does one let a reel get like this? I'm assuming a guy that sees it as just a tool but still.

Reminds me of when the Citrus Sticks came and went. I still can't believe people bought those things.

Re: Real Question

Good idea about swapping the gears out, kinda forgot about doing that. I prefer 5:1/5:3 myself. I have tried the 4: on mag cranks but didn't like it as much as the 5's. It just amazes me the lack of new options.

Re: Real Question

I love the wider spools and lower gear ratio for all my cranking with the occasional exception of square bills. I have four gen 1 winches that I'm needing to replace. They have held up pretty well through the years but they are about worn out. I seen the new gen 4's came out but I haven't heard much...

Real Question

Anyone else notice the lack of quality lower geared (5:3, 5:4) reels available? Seems like there are very few options on the market with the HS reel trend.

Re: Pixy Question

Tried to throw it yesterday and meh not good. I put new line on it, no difference. I know that prop bait is light but I was throwing it with a 15 mph wind and might of got 15 yards. I'm just going to send it in for repairs.

Re: Pixy Question

Rings looked good as well. I did remove them and reseat them just in case. I plan on trying it again to see if it's still doing what it did. If the problem continues I will send it off to TT. Here's the problem! Magnet rings should be fixed on plate,if you can remove it,thay're not works properly.T...

Re: Looking to upgrade: Megabass XX Flatside Special or Dobyns 705CB

I own both rods and both are very good sticks. I prefer the 704 for the smaller square bills (1.5), they seem to load better on casts on the 704. I might be getting too picky but that's what I have found for me. The 705 will throw them as well but I don't like the feel with lighter baits. The MB is ...
