If you ever upgrade or change your storage, and you want to part with them keep me in mind, that's what I use and they are my favs. I regret not buying more when they were still making them.

Tackle Storage Revisited

Would like to hear what everyone is using for tackle storage these days--you know, we used to call it the "tacklebox"--now it is storage systems. I find that once you get a setup you tend to stick with it, it would be nice to see what works for others or find out about new products on the market.

Re: Shimano Stella or Stradic ci4

That's what I did--the Stradic has CI4 Frame, Sideplate and Rotor Construction, whereas the Sustain has Magnumlite CI4 Rotor, Aluminum Frame, Side Plate. Still not sold on composite frames yet. This was posted in Hot Deals forum http://www.sfttackle.com/ as a sale starting on the 13th. Don't know de...

Re: rods / reels - a fashion industry?

It's just a hobby that people are having fun with, some people collect marbles, some collect race cars...TT folks collect fishing gear and just like any other hobby there is an obsession factor--it is the nature of the game.

Re: Semperfi handles?

Want to dress up an Amber Orange and Airy Red Pixy and Purple Alphas with the Semperfi swept cf's, where would be the best place to get the colored swept stars and the colored end caps for the knobs, I will use original Daiwa clear corks. Any suggestons on color combos to go with the above reels?

Back in the mid 70's--fishing a pass bewtween the Gulf of Mexico and the bay called rollover pass, its about 150 yards wide and 800 yards long, sheet piling driven in along the edges. Very poplular place during flounder and golden croker run, hundreds of people along both sides. Middle of the day no...

Protecting Your Reels

I was in a different forum and the subject was protecting your line from uv rays. I posted this and thought I would share here also: Talking of reel covers--I use a large fly reel cover for my small frame low profile baitcasters, much easier to take on and off and protects line from uv rays and the ...

Re: Do people really think line should last a whole season

Talking of reel covers--I use a large fly reel cover for my small frame low profile baitcasters, much easier to take on and off and protects line from uv rays and the entire reel and handle from scratches--not just from sun but also boat spray. http://burfish.com/catalog/9538.html
