Left handed, cast with left and reel with right--don't have to switch rod over to other hand.

Re: Finally got what I've always wanted!
Ahhh....my "gateway" reel was the original Red Scorpion 1000! :evil22: Same here--talked about 5 of my buds into one and we made a group discount purchase, I think after all was done and said it was about $135 a reel--I achieved hero status and we had the coolest reels around. You know the rest.......

Re: finesse reel for saltwater use
What are you finesse fishing for in the ocean? Honest question, not being a smartass. I don't saltwater fish and can't think of many sport fish that would require baits that small. Except maybe bones, trout, or spotted bay bass...just curious. Black Marlin dude!! Can't speak for everyone else...

Re: Polish this !
What's the best value US cleaner to buy? Simple Green is the most economical. When I got my US several years back I visited several of the larger reel repair shops asking that same question. They had huge US cleaners compared to what I have and they were using like a 2:1 ratio H2O/Simple Green--I d...

Re: Daiwa Gear Grease
It is grease. I have one in the mail so i cannot yet talk about the thickness. I live in the north, so i wanted something that would not get supper thick in the cold. Thanks angry john, where do you get the "special Daiwa oil" that is provieded in the box with new reels--that stuff has a different ...

Re: finesse reel for saltwater use
Neither the Sol's or the Pixy's are SW safe as per Daiwa, but I change the BB's out to the shielded crbb's on gearing and OS's with shields removed for the spool bearings. Along with my Purple Alphas 103's they are the only reels I use and have no issues. 99% of my time is wade fishing the coastal ...

Re: learning to "finesse"
I find that environmental conditions can also dictate how light you can go, some days I can kick butt finesse fishing and other days wind speed or direction will hinder my ability to finesse fish no matter how hard I concentrate. Trying to finesse under these conditions will take its toll on you qui...
