To me the Zillions are great reels, but the Alphas nose piece that is metal and part of the frame just feels more solid. It is nice to have in winter and doesnt get so cold, but it feels cheap. Looks good! Wonder if the colors with mismatch finishes like the TW HD does. It has the shiny black metal side plates/frame, then a more matte black on that plastic cover. That is still the only dislike I have about the new Zillions...

For that BFS rod, what size line will you be using? Anything larger than 8lb fluoro, ~0.24mm dia, I'd opt for the 30. Ald BFS holds about 50m of 8lb sniper/shooter. I ran 12lb Daiwa J Fluoro Hidden. Got about 65 yards or so, maybe a bit more. I know after backlashing I only had like 20 yards. My guess would be that because you are testing it, the reel's drag range is more on the lower end rather than closer to the max.
