Re: JDM Site Missing Evergreen Brand

Interesting thread. I would argue the currency factor is what is really in play here. The JDM product is a good 20% cheaper due to the US dollar's strength vis-a-vi the yen. To wit, the US dollar (as of 5/2) is approximately 1 US dollar = 137 YEN. In 2013, 1 US dollar = 97.60 YEN. So, in about a de...

Bump. What say you now. 1. Evergreen International Spin Cobra 6'3" spinning rod w/micro-guides: micro jigs to wacky rigged Senkos, small crankbaits, light minnow baits, small shad baits. 17 years and still has a few tricks up it's sleeve. 2. Has anyone picked one of these up? I'm debating on getting the 6'8 MH spinning rod or waiting for the EG Spider Spin.
You and me both! I've got an EG Spin Cobra been using since 2007 for a variety of applications.

Re: RAID JAPAN - Baits

I've used their paddle tails, their egu jig and egu jig trailers, and have their Deka Dodge and GI waiting to be tried out. I've been very pleased by the quality and effectiveness of their products. Checked out the LEVEL Minnow 72 "Ghost Shad" is almost IDENTICAL to the Pro Blue Megabass, tossed it...

RAID JAPAN

I've used the LEVEL Crank, LEVEL Crank Goriller and the LEVEL Vib. All of which I liked and initial production projections are good. The are well made with good finishes and color patterns. Based upon my experience, I ordered several other baits and current baits with additional patterns. If I'm not...

Only two things that frighten me...

One is nuclear war and the other...people with small hands that smell like cabbage...

Yeah, it's a slow day. LMAO.
People that smell like cabbage with small hands OR people with small cabbage smelling hands?

Re: JDM Site Missing Evergreen Brand

Just an additional FYI ... the ability to purchase JDM products directly from Japan was also undermined by US vendors who wanted to continue a stranglehold on access to markets and usurious pricing. To wit, when Megabass started selling items through it's website many years ago, the consumer was abl...

Re: JDM Site Missing Evergreen Brand

Once the JDM secret trick leaked to bassresource normies it was over. We have reports them buying JDM Zillons then returning them because "it made a click" from the inductor seating so they make the retailer pay to ship it back to the other side of the planet. Buying two competing products to test ...

Re: JDM Site Missing Evergreen Brand

Found out more after digging, searching, and reading comments. Seems a few have spoiled it for all. As always those with money who it doesn't affect. People were buying hundreds of these lures and rebranding them as "rare" and special colors. Selling for double what JDM retailers sell Jackhammers a...

Re: Moving to lighter gear due to injury?

Back in the old days, an Ambassadeur 4500C + Quantum Tour Edition 7' cranking rod weighed in slightly under 2 lbs. My right arm was shot due to saying to Hell with the relay, I'm gonna throw the bastard out from deep right to home plate. My arm was like a noodle after that. Got me into finesse light...

Zoom mag lizard. It actually is the one plastic I keep in the Xterra, just in case.

I keep a pack of 6" Zoom Lizards in Pumpkinseed/Chart tail in one of those "In Case Of Emergency Break Glass" thingys.
