I’ve been burned on a lot of equipment but I learned something’s. When I say 3/8oz that was just the jig. I see the...

I have two of the 7’2H model. I use it for worms and jigs and love it. Sensitive and has the perfect taper for me to set and drive the hook consistently.
What weight jigs do you throw with it?

Re: Sensitive jig rod

Can't speak to the 74 since I haven't handled it. I got the 72 in today and pitched a jig around my apartment some. Sensitivity is very impressive and the handle gives the whole setup a very connected feel which is hard to describe but very unique, at least among the rods I have used. The taper is ...

Re: Sensitive jig rod

What type of cover, depth, and line weight are you looking at Chris? Obviously, heavy grass is different than more open water with rocks and wood. 6’ is different than 30’. I'd say my usual lake is more Rocky and doesn't have much grass. Probably between 30-60' in the usual spots I go. I like fluor...

Re: Sensitive jig rod

US market - Grab a new Z Bone or K2. The umbx is no slouch either, and the new models should be out soon. JDM - Something from the folks at Evergreen, or perhaps an Ultima or Glorious, depending on what you can find in your price range. These would be my suggestions. Let us know what you end up gra...

Poison Adrena 72H should be a great 1/2 ounce jog rod IMO.
Did you get yours yet? What would be the difference between the 72h and 74h you were asking about besides 2"?

Re: Sensitive jig rod

In that price range find a deal on a NRX894, Evergreen Egoist or Gunslinger, or Steez AGS Bottom Contact. Enjoy the search. I hesitated on a steez bottom contact and missed out. Used a couple times, Like new, local and $100 under new price. I had heard of it but was looking for reviews. I'll check ...

Another suggestion I got (but didn't get to try) when I was looking for a new jig rod was the Poison Adrena.
What model would be good for jigs?
