I'm sure you're waiting for an "unbiased" opinion but I'll offer this anyway. I use the PB761MF with a popping cork that weighs about an ounce and the blank handles it easily. nice! I applaud your minimalist approach as well I try to build "blingless". Black wraps, simple handles, least weight and all performance =D> =D> =D> =D> that's my style also !!! Agreed. Point Blank 761MF blank comparison ??

interested in this blank but would like a comparison to other blanks in terms of tip and backbone , also what lure weights are comfortable casting with this blank .
basically any feedback from any one who has this blank built and has fished this , thanks :)

i was quoting a post mattman did , not your K2 build , he posted a pic that is clearly his build and has the same rear thread issue going on . click on his link in his post up towards the top ( third post down ) the built rod is on a Hydra blank

Bottom hooks on soft baits can cause bleeding... even on a STE video with those bottom stingers he catches a nice one and at the end says... its bleeding.. NOT good. lets try to catch and keep alive . top hooks are best. only if you really care for your catch. hard baits most times don't get choked...

i use my 7'10'' heavy powered casting rod for my rats which weigh 2.5 oz. , it has a fast action


BTW - rod is a Rainshadow XMB 944.5 custom, micro guided & spiral wrapped
