Re: Long distance spool for sv103

Tried out the sv103 stock spool with alphas sv inductor and hlc spring. Certainly less choked than the stock inductor and slightly faster. Might have to try the g1 slp sv after all. I did some spool testing the other day in my steez sv tw. The zillion G1 1016 sv spool was a better overall spool vs ...

Re: Alphas sv or Alphas air

I d say the Sv. I use mine for tossing metal knife jigs 10 to 14g and the distance is ridiculous. Just swap the brake ramp to the white one, the stock one is black. Also add a stiffer spring. If u get the air ur stuck to the air spool only. If u get the sv u can get the rays diy spool for bfs. Allow...

Anyone done a comparison on the ZPI Pg vs the SLP g1 SV 1012 or 1016?

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

I have an old SS/SV spool sitting around, not the lightest spool, but I am willing to tear into it without fear. Is there any inductor/spring combo that I could order for it? If I WAS able to add a 1016 Zillion SV inductor & spring shouldn't that increase the performance quite well??? It would be a...

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

Has anyone tried fitting the new zpi spools or sv spools in the new ryoga? Does it fit?

ZPI daiwa Spools

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to check if the new Zpi spools like the ZPI NRC001-PG are saltwater friendly?

Is the spool material Aluminium or Mg?

thanks.

Re: Opinions, new spool SV105

I don't own a sv105 yet. I am getting mine this week from my friend. On His reel I changed the stock spring on the spool to a harder one and the spool became less choked and a casting machine. So good that I just had to buy it off him haha. I don't know about the other spools as I 've only played t...

Re: Abu Morrum ???

Hi all ! I think there is more barrings in the Morrum sx 1601 c Ultra Mag than the Mag . Where are the barrings ? Are they in the reel or the handle ? thank you In the UM it is the wormshaft with 2 extra. On the mag it cannot be replaced. Only IVCB and later models are able to change it to bearings...

Re: Experimenting with XUL BFS

Hey I have tried this route a few times. I find that some UL blanks that are non fly blanks work better 90% of the time. If u insist on a fly blank. I've tried 2 and 4 wt. For the two I chop a 6.6 equally at both ends to 5.6 and then it was ideal. I had about 10 of these to play with and I found if ...

Re: Spybaiting - who's been successful with it?

Spybaits are killer for fresh water over here in asia.

Key is as slow as possible. Also if u change out the back hook to a heavier one, the bait will shimmy side to side a little just like a sinking pencil.

To those who say you cant use it in dirty water. I use it at night without issues too.

Re: Long distance spool for sv103

Thanks for the input guys.

It seems that most of you are steering towards the Magforce Z spools. Maybe that is a better option.
