There are aftermarket long cast spools for the Tatula 150.

Pixy Airy Red is pretty good as is the Engetsu. The Engetsu actually has a slightly heavier spool than a Scorpion 70 but is shallow so once it gets spinning it does not want to stop. While i prefer the older Daiwa's, i find the newer shimanos to be superior compared to older models. Smoother, lower profile and much better braking system.

Curado hasn't excited me since the e7 but i think this 70 mgl is the real deal If you don't mind a less line capacity then check out the 70 based Engetsu too. You tried to fit Daiwa knobs to the handle and they wouldn't fit? The handle came with the Yumeya style metal knobs and you changed them correct?

Ugly half red thing. Maybe the USDM will be less offensive looking. I rather like the satin black paint, black level wind insert, frame milling, red accents and ghosted vector logo of the USDM model.

That mag dial protrusion looks too smooth to be a mag dial to me. No dial means no mag brakes.
