Re: Daiwa Certate 2506 Hi Speed-Bail Operation
I've always closed the the bail manually. I prefer to baby my reels. Also don't like the sound and feel of doing it auto. Maybe the high gear has less torque so it gets stuck more frequently. I wouldn't worry about it. Just my 2 cents.

WOW, just WOW! That's the best collection I've ever seen! Big Daiwa fan here. Some people don't realize it, but the addiction is real.
Congrats!

Re: Megabass destroyer phase 3 nautilus?
Awesome rod. Very versatile. I use mine for 3/8 to 1/2 oz jigs with trailer. Looks deceiving as the blank is very thin in daimeter, but it has a lot of power.

Re: Envy Black Spinning rods
I have the Envy 7'3" medium spinning. It's got great action and a strong backbone that transitions into a soft tip. Sensitivity is good. The only thing I don't like about it is the reel seat. It's not very sturdy and feels like it coming apart when you have a fish on. I've got a Daiwa Ballistic 2500...

Re: Performance gains for Daiwa RCS spools on spinning reels
Here's my review... Bought the RCS 2506 red spool. It's heavier than the stock Certate 2506 spool and slightly heavier than the stock Luvias 2510 spool. I don't have a scale, just going by hand vs hand. Casts the same but with more bling. Not really worth it unless you're really into looks. Looks go...

Re: Spinning or Baitcaster
I started off with spinning. Once I learned how to use a baitcaster, I thought I'd never go back to spinning. Sold all my spinning gears. Years later, I ended up regretting it. Spinning has it's place for me - fall and winter fishing for walleyes and small mouths. Now I have both.
