G Loomis GL2 Trout Jig
G Loomis GL2 Trout Jig on sale at Cabelas. Does this mean a trout line up in the E6x is coming? Just speculating of course.

Re: ultralight nymph trout fishing
How about some sort or Czech nymph rig? Or is it French? Or Polish? One of them uses long leaders and long rods and virtually no fly line.

Re: Which Corzza
What about the Rapala RFS anyone got one yet? I am also thinking about one these now that I have done a bit of research on them. This video has some English in it. It is a couple of minutes into the video.

Re: Which Corzza
The Kistler is the way I was leaning the more I thought about it. The only bad thing with the Kistler is the fact that it is not two piece. For the performance upgrade though I think I can deal with it.

Re: Which Corzza
The baits are like the Ned rig and soft plastics pegged to 1/32 to 3/32 Gopher Mushroom jigs. Most people use spinning rods for this, but the BFS bug has bitten me. I am interested in the Kistler because it is built on a North Fork Composites blank. I need to keep this under 200$.

Which Corzza
I am going to order a Major Craft Corzza BFS for midwest finesse fishing. Basically all sorts of soft baits fished on gopher mushroom jig heads. I am guessing that someone here has one of these rods and can point me in the right direction. I am going to place a Shimano Chronarch 50E w/ Yumeya spool ...

Re: New Trout Rod
I completely agree with the Jdm Vs. USDM. The micro guides on the Jdm are a problem for me with icing up. I have never seen a Jdm offering with standard guides. The Speedstyle Over 7 UL looks interesting though. And as posted above the Airrus looks good too. The TSR 901-2 looks good but I have read ...

Re: New Trout Rod
Searching around a bit I may go longer. Avid 8' ML, River Runner 8' UL, St. Croix 8' L, All Pro Float N' Fly, or maybe even the Bronzeback Float N' Fly. Long rods don't bother me may not be Ideal for jigs but I am thinking the drop shot would be easier in the stream with a longer rod. Also curious a...

New Trout Rod
I am looking for a new rod to fish 1/16 oz jigs mainly. But also fish drop shot rigs. I have a MajorCraft Zaltz 7'3" Mebaru. I really like this rod, but the micro guides caused problems this winter season. Freezing up pretty good. I would like a longer rod, somewhere in the 7' to 7'6" Thinking about...

Re: Rapala finesse rods
I looked into these awhile ago. If I am not mistaken they are not from Japan. The lighter of the two looks like it could be killer for my Daiwa SS Air. The G. Loomis CR842-2 I fish with now is capable but always looking for something else to fish.

Solid tip Ultralight
Does anyone fish a Volkey or speed style solid tip ultra light? I am looking into one as a winter trout jig rod. I need some versatility as I fish hair jigs from 1/32 to 1/8 oz throughout a day. Mainly in the 1/16 oz range though. Also wondering about Sunline FC Sniper in 3 or 4#. I already fish a 7...

Re: Glass Rods
I had not looked at this for a while. The fact that it turned into an argument does not surprise me. Both arguments have valid points, but when it boils down to it I am going glass. I have not fished a Sage Circa or Mod, but the slower graphite that some of my friends have does not suit my fancy. I ...

Glass Rods
Anyone here fishing glass? I am thinking about selling a few graphite rods so that I can buy a couple glass rods to carp and smallmouth fish with.
