Re: Red... Why red? Fishing reel colors.
I'm tired of the red also but I do like the purple. Any color except the gold on a reel.

Spring is just around the corner, it's time to post your finished winter projects or winter acquisition 8-) I will go first. Here is my Zillion HLC custom painted in glossy white. Re: NRX 916 or 895?
Glad you asked this question because I was looking at these two rods also. Think I'm leaning more to the 895 now. I just wish there was a place down here in Tampa that I could handle the two and see which one I like more.

Re: To The Tackle Trap Crew
Gary helped me by answering all my questions before I sent my purple alpha to get the bearings upgraded and the gears switched to 6.8:1. I want to thank him for all the help. Now I might have to bother him to get a rod for my alpha.

NRX Umbrella Rig rod
I was wondering if anyone has used this rod for anything else besides the umbrella rod. Either for swimbaits, jigs, t-rigs, or flipping and what do you think of it.

Re: Favorite small soft bodied swimbait
I use the Reaction Skinny Dipper in Money shot Green or violet and have caught fish with them in any colored water. Bass love them. I rig it on a Trokar swimbait hook with either a 1/4oz or weightless.

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?
I have the 893 and love it. I use it with lures up to 1/2oz and it works great. Great weightless also with senkos and skinny dipper. I have felt more with this rod than any rod I have ever used.

NRX and GLX are both great rods. I love my glx flipping rod and will be adding a NRX to my arsenal.

Re: Looking for a workhorse
Zillion is a great reel. I fish with it all the time for about 5years and haven't had any problems with it. It takes a beating and still works great. I also have a sol and I use it for jigs and crankbaits. I have pulled some big bass around some thick lily pads and grass. It's a great reel. All I do...
