Which reel T3 or Chronarch

I have a GLX 895 flipping rod and wanted to know if I could use a Daiwa T3 reel for flipping or should I go with the Shimano Chronarch 150 CI4. Which reel would make a better flipping reel or can you guys recommend a reel to pair with that rod.

Black Dog shell cracker G2 and castaic baits are both under 2oz. The work great also.

Congrats on the trade. I have a sol and love it. I'll looking at making some upgrades to mine. What rod do you have it on?

Re: Rod for heavy pads

I use the new GLX 895 flipping rod. Haven't had any problems pulling any fish out of the pads down here in Florida.

Re: Anyone tried Legend Inshore saltwater rods?

Haven't used this rod but if you are looking for a good saltwater inshore rod I would suggest a g-loomis bronzeback 7'7" spinning rod. I have been using it for about 6 years and love it. I got it when another saltwater guy told me about it. I've caught 40" snook with this rod and had no problem. But...

Re: Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper

I rig them on a weightless Trokar swimbait hook and work them slow. The bass love them.

Re: Braided line to mono/fluoro leader...???

I rig mine the same was as you do and have been doing this for 14 years now. If you have wind knots on a spinning reel close the bail by hand. If you get a birds nest on a baitcaster use a crochet hook to get them out. No matter how bad they get it's easier to get them out with a crochet hook. I lea...

Broke my custom glx and now need something

Broke my custom glx 844 today and now I need a new rod to replace it. I was looking at one of the new glx rods. I will need it for fishing with frogs, jigs, small swimbaits, and t-rigs. So which one would be a good replacement for what I need.

Great looking set ups. I forget other people can't fish this time of year. Living in Florida there is no problem fishing all year long.

Re: Why expensive tackle

I'm weekend angler but I bought my first high dollar reel back in 2000 and it was a calcutta reel and a st. croix rod. Then a gloomis spinning rod with a stradic. Now I look at high end rod and reels because my joints hurt when I fish with the heavy equipment. Also I love the look and feel of them. ...
