Re: T3 Users Club Feedback
I have had both T3 and T3 Ballistics. Both are phenomenal casters when dialed in and with upgraded bearings. Among the very best casting machines produced. I didn't care much for the "feel" of the reel though, but if I were starting over I'd consider buying a couple of Ballistics and being done with...

Switching to a LH reel after many years
I have used right handed baitcasting reels all my life. Decades of fishing. However for all that time when casting I "switch hands" and cast with my right and then put the rod in my left afterwards (and reel righty). Pitching though is done with my left arm, and so pitching is natural for me with a ...

Re: Calcutta 200D Spool Bushing to Bearing
Boca should have one. I replaced the bushings with bearings in some 200's long ago. Maybe SMR685? (speaking from memory).

Re: Old School Tough Guy gets a new look.
The TDX 103's (HiA, HVA, HSDF) are IMO greatly under-rated all-around reels. Excellent casters, ahead of their day when they were first introduced. Nice reel.

I traded a reel with Fishingboy, and the transaction was great. Great communicator. Highly recommended. I would do business with him again.

Re: Yamamoto 10" Grub
That's unfortunate that they are being discontinued. I think Yamamoto was ahead of their time on it. Gary came out with the big grub early to mid-1990's if I remember correctly, maybe earlier, long before the other big manufacturers (excluding the custom California hand-pour guys) started making lar...

They are a classic. Awesome worm. Bulky, good action, salty. A great night bait worm; I caught my second largest bass (8 lbs) on one at night. They are getting harder to find.

I remember sandman from the old bfhp. I remember some of his old posts in Air Metals and other topics, have wondered myself where he went.

Re: Do people really think line should last a whole season
Personally I am a little hard-core about line. I use backing, so I am only spooling what is necessary for a long cast. And when I am at Lake Fork for several days or elsewhere on a long road trip trip I will "respool" (what I am actually fishing with on top of backing) after every day of fishing. Ea...

Awesome tune up!
I, too, loathe the silly gold bedazzlers on top of the reel. The drilled holes look great.

Re: New steez 105 SV spool
That's on my to-buy list for sure. I have a few Air Metals that I will be trying the spools out in.
Will they be available via Daiwa US?
