I ended up getting this rod and the Dragon is very nice with a moderate to fast action and as much backbone as you would expect with a UL rod. I like the Kuying Teton series but their shorter rods are noddles.

That’s how I feel, the reel is nice and the drag feels smooth but I know my SS Air has more drag and that’s unacceptable to me.
