Re: 2020 Zillion 10
I own both a 10 and a regular sv tw. I took the regular Sv TW in salt for a week long trip knowing there were going to be likely consequences. Cleaned it up as best as a regular dude can after. Anyway, based on that experience, I can’t imagine taking the 10 in salt would be a good idea. I won’t. I ...

Re: Reel waterproofing & you.
I dont mind a sealed drag, but anything else is marketing hype imho. Making a reel with superior corrosion-resistant materials is the best avenue, not trying to waterproof a reel. Sure, tight tolerances are always a good idea, but seals are just another drag/friction point to make the reel feel slo...

New kistler graphite series
I wonder if these new rods are blanks they rolled instead of NFC?
Re: Sandals
Keen would be my choice as well, i have had mine for 5 years and just broke one of the straps. Simms used to make some that were good but the newones aren't as durable.

Re: It's True: ElaZtech does indeed melt...
I'e also seen them sorta melt or oval out into a flat blob while still in their packaging in enough heat. I always keep a bag of turds (various colors in one original bag) in my car and never had that happen. I been doing that since the first time I heard about them melting in the heat and have yet...

It gets even worse if you mix them with a PVC bait, I learned to check after people who borrow out of my tacklebox.

Just buy an OG zillion, that's the best all round reel for your price range, you could get a jdream for less than$250.

Re: Costa Harpoons
I don't have costa harpoons, but as far as US made sunglasses go Solar bat sunglasses are US made and the Mossback gradient is a great lens for sight fishing that they offer. My issue with them is my fat head tends to break the frame over the nosebridge. I prefer now to use Oakley's instead, they of...

Re: Opinion: It may not be worth it
I understand your thoughts, I have trouble paying high dollar for a glass rod, I bought two tatula glass rods for $69 and they've been great for reaction baits, I have a st Croix glass rod but bought it after it was discontinued for a similar price. I have a bunch of original zillions, they're all u...

Re: Kistlers warranty and the curse of 2020
Ouch, looks like the 2020 curse is worse for y'all, I want a zbone but I cannot even remotely justify it, I think I'm going to get 2 of the x-ray blanks next time they're on sale and have a local guy build the rods for a lot less. Weird your coupon was for 50%off, mine was a dollar amount that I co...

Re: Suffix 832 issues
I've never had issues before, I do add additional twists so maybe that's why I've never had issues before and usually use heavier braid. I just thought it was weird that the Berkley braid knot didn't hold either until the third try since that knot is for braid. Maybe it's the 2020 curse

Suffix 832 issues
I opened a new spool of 832 today and have had issues with the knot slipping and pulling loose, have they changed the coating? I have used an improved clinch knot without issues in past and today I had issues getting it to hold and had issues with the Berkley braid knot as well.
