Re: carbontex upgrade on steez??
Did it work fine before you opened it up? I'd be surprised if the drag worked very well before without those pieces.

If thats your current drag stack then you're missing parts. From the main gear it should be eared, fiber, metal, fiber, eared, fiber, metal.

Re: DAIWA T3 AIR
(Maybe by removing brass/carbon shims from the palming side or changing the bearing :-k ) Good point. Technically one would only need those brass/carbon shims to use the tension knob. Since a lot of people don't even use tension on the spool your idea might work. I'll have to give it a shot and try...

Make sure the third washer isn't stuck to the inside of the stock drag star. You should have 3 washers under the drag star like this ( ) I
If I remember correctly I had a zillion 50th on a TDZ and it worked fine.

Re: Sol spool might fit in T3 Ballistic...?
Lets change that to... "the Steez/TDZ spools will fit in the T3/Ballistic, but not visa-versa"
Steez/TDZ spools will not fit the T3/Ballistic as the spool shafts are just a tad too long. However the T3/Ballistic will fit in the Steez /TDZ just fine.

Re: Bearing upgrade free spinning
Do you have line on your spool? Having line on the spool, like in the video, will give you a much longer spin time.

Re: Sol spool might fit in T3 Ballistic...?
Nope.. The Steez/Tdz/T3 Spools are interchangeable. The Ballistic spool isn't and doesn't have an aftermarket upgrade unfortunately. Lets change that to... "the Steez/TDZ/T3 AND Ballistic are interchangeable." The T3 and Ballistic spools are the same in size, although there are some slight differen...

Re: Sol spool might fit in T3 Ballistic...?
hmm, I just assumed the T3 and Ballistic had the same spool design as they are the same frame. Doh!
I have both, so I will take pictures and examine the spools this evening.
