I am looking at a Zenon JDM spinning reel and I see 3000SH, 3000MSH, and 4000SH. I really like larger reels (I use mostly Daiwa 4000LT size reels) for fishing for smallmouth up north. If there is one modern Abu worth looking at right now, it is the AF-L. Quite an awesome reel even if you have had a bad experience with the others.

SDS Custom ones are on the bay. They are excellent and ship from Ukraine. They take 1-2 weeks to get here but for the price can't be beat. He usually includes a free gift bait in the package as well.

4 point stars replaced the 5 point about 1980/1981. Then the rounded 5 point came back late 80s early 90s. Now they have the longer rounded edge ones.
