I-Slide Storage
How do you guys store your Megabass I-Slide glidebaits? I have 3 of them (185 size) sitting on my desk right now, all shiny and new in their packages, but no place to store them. Swimbait Underground has a nice wrap that looks like it would work for them, but is there an equally or more economic opt...

Re: No Shimano, No Daiwa
I'm converting all of my reels over to Shimano (Thankfully I don't have a ton to begin with), and the only other two I've had are Okuma and Lews. The Okuma (Helios Air) is solid, but not refined compared to its counterparts at the same price point (Chronarch Ci4+ is the only one I've seriously handl...

Re: Hedgehod Studio Shipping
Wow, thanks for the quick replies guys! Much appreciated! Not so worried about ordering from either shop now, haha. The last product I ordered EMS was a Megabass I-Slide off of Amazon. I ordered it January 13th and it just arrived today, so it's good to know that's an unlikely scenario from either ...

Hedgehod Studio Shipping
Anyone know approximately how long shipping to the US takes from Hedgehog Studio? I want to order up a spool, and just want to know how much time it'll take to order from there. Also looking at Japan Tackle, if that's any quicker.

Re: MB Vision 110
The one eBay seller I've used is Lure-Geek. Had no issues with any of the baits, they all came in their original packaging, and shipping was free albeit a bit slow (A few weeks for completed shipping to New Jersey). Their method of shipping scared me a bit, as some of the 110 packages I got were a b...

Re: MB Vision 110
Some shops on eBay have them a bit cheaper than their USDM retail counterparts. Samurai Tackle is a few dollars cheaper as well, but I have no idea what their shipping rates would be.

Re: Five Footers
I used to mess around all of the time with my 5' Berkley Cherrywood, 2lb mono, and 3" Senkos wacky rigged for pond bass. It's such a hoot hooking into 1-3lb largemouth, and letting them run around on such a light combo. Even river fishing for smallmouth is a blast with that combo.

Re: Shimano Calcutta Conquest 100 Range
For each of those reels it's possible to source an Avail deep spool, which offers significantly more line capacity than the stock spool. I'm getting myself a CQ 200 for the Megabass I-Slide 185's next month, and I'll be going the Avail route so I can use the ergonomically smaller 200 size (Versus th...

Re: NRX refresh ?
To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they left the same layout for the NRX's. I do only have one (853C), but I plan on adding at least two later this spring (852S, 822DSR, and MAYBE an 854C  ). I've fished with more Dobyns, and while I do enjoy them, I prefer the added NRX sensitivity, and don't m...

Re: Shouldn't Megastrike have an odor to it?
I've been using Megastrike for a few years now, and I've always noticed a reasonably strong smell to it. I've only used the "Original" formula, never the Crawfish or Garlic.

Will do! Mine's getting 20lb Tatsu to start, but I won't have any substantial time on the water until about March, so I've still got some time to wait.

Re: Reel for Megabass Evoluzion Legend Works Ltd. 30th
I appreciate the feedback guys, I'm going to go with the Conquest 200/deep spool setup. Ergonomically, I think it'll be less wearing than the 300 when working glide baits all day long, and since it'll handle the workload, seems like the best option! I did the same thing, I ordered the 200 Conquest ...

Re: New vs. Old conquests
there are few videos showing new ones being noisy during casting because of SVS braking system. Is it more of an exception and can be fixed by lubrication or all of them making this humming noise? SVS was seem to be redesigned in 2016 shimano reels and my Scorpion nice and quite. My 13 Met with whi...
