Re: Introducing my new girlfriend
Nice job, is it worth it to get the lashes or would yarn or pipe cleaner work the same?

Re: Tica GCA800
Well anyway, I decided t pick up the GCA800. It is indeed a small reel with a larger capacity spool. I'm not sure it feels as "tight" as my SB500's but I really do think it will be a sweet little reel for what I want to do with it, and that is fish light jigs for river bass. I spooled some InvizX 4l...

Tica GCA800 ul reel
I'm looking for a new UL spinning reel. I've used the Tica Cetus SB500 before with great results. I noticed there is a Tica GCA800 reel that holds more line and is the same exact weight as the Cetus SB500. Does anyone know anything about the GCA800......I'd like to know is it a 500 size reel with a ...

Tica GCA800
Anyone have any experience with this reel? I have owned several Cetus SB500's and loved them. I am in the market for a new UL reel and before I commit to another SB500, I figured I'd check out the GCA800.....both reels are 6.3oz, so I am guessing the GCA has the same sized frame as the 500 series bu...

Need some guidance on a 1 pc UL rod
....that won't break the bank. Criteria: I prefer 1 pc graphite rods for UL, weight reduction is most important here. I'm looking for a light weight rod, 2.8oz or absolutely under 3oz would seem to be optimum for me. I'd like a 6ft to 6-9 model. I'd like something that has the "correct" amount of gu...

Re: Smallest spinning reel?
Presso 1003? They no longer make that if that is what you mean. Luvias 1003 is still in production. I'm pretty sure he is talking about the JDM Presso that goes for around 200.00. The American released reel is no longer in production but it is also nothing like the Japanese version. Nope. He means ...

Bang for your buck......a serviceable UL that is both feature packed and small.....Tica Cetus Gv500, SE500, SB500......

Re: budget UL rod suggestions
I just found myself wanting to pick up a cheap UL. I think I'm looking for either a Spinmatic or a Celilo. I'd honestly prefer a split grip but haven't found anything in the 30.00 worth it. I found a Spinmatic 5-6 1pc for 24.00 shipped, I don't think I can come close to beating that price. I took a ...

Re: New Rod opinions needed
I like the 1 power from Powell but not 7ft for light tackle. If you look around though, you might be able to find a Dobyn's Champion 681 or Saavy 692 that would work well for the tech's you are interested in. I own both rods and they cover the whole gamut of light tackle methods I employ. Did you n...

Re: Aldebaran
sorry I dug way back for this thread but there isn't really much going on in this forum. I have one of the original Aldy's from when they were first introduced maybe 3 or 4yrs ago? I stole it on ebay for like 150.00 less than what they retail for because nobody knew what it was. I am huge into the J...
