Boca Bearings

Just got some Ceramic hybrid bearings from Boca, opened up one of the shields to see how much grease was packed in there and to my surprise, there seems to be none. I'll soak it anyways in acetone to be sure before installing them. I am fairly new to this so I ask those of you who have had experienc...

I still havent gotten around to liking the carbon handles as of yet, aesthetic wise.. Do you know how much lighter the carbon handles are from the stock Ai ones?

Re: Alphas Ito / Steez.

Haha GH, I have an Ai and I do love that reel. never gave me any probs, the ones i'm seeing around though have gotten a bit expensive, and the price between the Ai and Steez are not that far off. Just wanted to see if the Steez is $1000 better reel?

Thanks for your input tho'..

Re: Daiwa Cork knobs for Alphas Ito

Make sure you put a washer on the shaft of each one before you put the knob on. It makes it a lot smoother. D.R. I actually put 3 washers each to minimize the play. Do I need to put a washer between the bearing and the screw? Thanks D.R. I do respect and appreciate your opinion as I have read about...

Alphas Ito / Steez.

Hey guys, I was pondering getting another Ai, But with the going prices nowadays of about $300.00 Is it worth it to just shell out 100 more for the steez? I'll prolly use this reel for plastics and jigs 1/4th to 3/8.

Thanks for the input..

Daiwa Cork knobs for Alphas Ito

Hi, Tackle Newbie here, I'm trying to swap out the original Ito knobs for Daiwa cork knobs, and I cant seem to get them flush with the handle. I dont know if I can remove the metal looking "bushing" or maybe I got bearings that are too big. Little help please..
Thanks guys.
