Re: F0-60X Elese, F1-60X Elite, Pagani Casting
I can't compare and contrast because I only own the Elese but I use and adore my Pixy/Elese/4# Yozuri Soft combo for exactly the apps you're talking about. This is still one of my favorite combos to fish with...of all time...and I'm a really old fart who has been fishing for a very long time....

F0-60X Elese, F1-60X Elite, Pagani Casting
OK guys...All this talk of Rods for Pixy has me thinking about a dedicated light reaction bait rod / pixy combo. It looks like megabass has quite a few offerings in the F0 and F1 power category. Can Anyone compare and contrast The Megabass light powered casting rods? this rod will be used to throw 1...

Re: Catfish Fishing Questions....
Just to add one more thing. use Circle hooks. If you've never used circle hooks before, just remember to let em run for a few seconds and reel in the line or do a slow sweep to set the hook. You'll set the hook in the corner of the mouth every single time.

New tackle manufacturer - Starbucks ?
Hey Guys, Check out this ESPN ICAST article . It looks like Strike King is coming out with a Coffee tube. Yep...A tube impregnated with coffee and salt. Next thing you know, you can go to Starbucks, and get some 6 in lizards with with your morning Latte  . Actually, This maybe crazy enough to w...

I'm saving up for a shellcracker. I think these baits will be killer in the fall.

Re: Swimbait setup and general question.
I agree with this statement. Only one of SB's (take into account, I only have a few) came with sharp hooks. The Rago BlueGill uses owner hooks and that thing is supper sharp!throwinmetal wrote:make sure the hooks are sharp

Re: 2-pc swimbait rod?
Hmm that isn't too horrible after all. I'll price out my custom through some people and see how it matches up. How are the components on those rods? Components are Fuji Stainless steel framed SiC double-footed guides. Fuji Reel seat, I think. Here are a couple of pics. http://i126.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Rod for a Pixy
Hello Reelblues... Sorry it took so long to reply...and no, I have not fished either of these rods with the Pixy but they would be good ones IMO for said techniques. Another rod not mentioned much is a Falcon Expert 6'9"ML. I am very curious as to putting together a light power outfit in BC for tro...

Re: 2-pc swimbait rod?
Shipping on that rod wasn't too bad Total cost from Plat including shipping and fees was about was about $210.bpm2000 wrote:hmm w/ that pricetag + shipping import it is making a custom sound reasonable now. Ugh I wish I could just use a 1pc $99 Okuma and be done with it.
thx for the info!

Re: 2-pc swimbait rod?
I had a Major Craft Days DC-702X - 7 ft, 2 piece, rated for 3/8 - 3 oz. i wish I could give a feedback on the performance of the rod but I had to sell it even though I never had a chance to fish it. I really wish I could have kept that rod. Major Craft also has 702X in the Beneyro line. Sorry I can'...

Re: Curado 100D Bearings ABEC 7's Vs %'s
I have not tried bocas but i do have the TGs in my Curado 100D. And the TGs are a sweet upgrade. Able to cast lighter weights, smoother, longer casts, etc. You have to remember to engage at lease one more brake.

That's one I've been having reoccurring dreams about. Let us know how it handles finesse plastics and 1/8oz jigs.
