Re: Weeds, I catch them and I hate them

I'm in the same situation as you. From Cal's recommendation, I will be trying the Screwed Up Bullet Head for senkos. My thinking is that the senko will come through weeds better and make the senko last longer. For jigs Omega Jigs come through weeds extremely well. so do the picasso jig I also have s...

Re: What would you buy -Scorpion, Alphas-F, or Pixy?

I am interested in your thoughts and recommendations on the following reels to be used with lighter baits (casting 1/8 – 1/4oz baits and for jigs and worming): Shimano Scorpion 1000 and Scorpion MG 1000 Daiwa Alphas Type-F 103 Daiwa Pixy One of the questions I have is that I haven’t been able to tr...

Re: P-Line Evolution

I didn't like it either. I use P-Line Floroclear which is great up to 10# The 15# is great for Stripers etc wheras the 20# was like cable to me. I've been using 12# on one of my Bass rigs and don't like it. What do you guys like in a 12# line...I WILL NOT use braid or Yo-Zuri and prefer a Floro or ...

Re: P-Line Evolution

Charlie,

This line seems to be love-it or hate-it line. No problems for me but I've seen a few posts where this line is crap. It's making me worry a since I have it spooled on three of my reels.

Re: Omega "Savior" Shakey Head

I got on the water today and tried the Savior Shakey Head. I only purchased the 1/8 oz head and it is extremely weedless. On the minus side is that unless you have a very buoyant bait, it sometimes does not stand. It looks like the flat section of the head that allows the bait to stand is a bit curv...

Re: Gamakatsu Silicon Stopper

I didn't know gama made them but you should find online the identical made by Fina. I bet Decoy makes them too. Fina makes some hook with this stopper already on the hook. If you can't find them let me know, there might be some at the store here I can "hook" you up with a couple bags. Fbass, thanks...

Re: Gamakatsu Silicon Stopper

Don't know where you can find the stoppers but if you use the Gamakatsu Skip Gap Hook you will never have to worry about slide downs again. It is designed for that purpose. It is called the dock skipping hook but it works great for all soft plastic baits. thanks for the recommendation. The stoppers...

Re: Ultralight reels

Savacs, I submerged the symetre 750 in tap water for about 5 minutes and it still works great. When I first took the reel out of the water, it felt a different, but after a few shakes of the reel, some water came out of the reel and felt just fine. I've been fooling around with the reel for the last...

Re: Saw literally thousands of fish but only got a single bi

Well it was a disappointing evening. I went to do some shore fishing hoping to catch a SM/LM bass or two. When I got there things started to heat up pretty quickly. I saw fishes jumping out of the water catching whatever was on the top column of the water. It was like there were mini rain clouds ov...

Anyone know where I can get these? I bought em from Ebay over the winter and I've gone through my supply. http://www.ginrinpeche.com/images/44.jpg they are basically very small version of these: http://www.plasticoid.com/New%20Graphics%203/labstoppers.jpg I've been using them on my worm hooks, to ke...
