How is a reels braking system affected with upgraded spool bearings, if at all?
For example.......Daiwa, if you regularly have the mag brake set at 5 without upgraded bearings, with upgraded bearings would would need to set them higher? Do you need to thumb the spool more?

Re: Tubes: Casting or Spinning??
Spinning for tubes, I have the Fuego 6'9"ML and it is ok for 1/8-1/4 oz tubes but it is more of a finesse/dropshot rod. the 6'10" M Fuego would be a better rod for what you are looking for than the 6'6". For me my favorite tube rod is the St.Croix LTB 7' M "tube". So if I had to, the ML could handl...

Re: Tubes: Casting or Spinning??
You have to decide on what tubes you are going to use. If you are going to use mostly 1/8 to 1/4 oz tubes, then a ML (depending on the manufacturer) might be your best bet. If you are going to use mainly 3/8, 5/16 or heavier, you probably want a Medium or Medium Heavy rod... again, depending on the...

Tubes: Casting or Spinning??
I am looking for a new spinning rod and can't decide if I want it purely for finesse or if I want a more all around rod that can also handle tubes. I use mostly casting and want one good spinning rig, I have narrowed my choices to either a Daiwa Fuego or Dobyns Savvy rod, prices are a little off her...

Daiwa spinning rod handles
Does anyone prefer the handles on Daiwa spinning rods over 'normal' handles (Powell, Dobyns etc with no fore grip)?
I am looking into a Fuego rod but no too sure about holding the rod in front of the reel.
Thanks in advance

Re: Rod for Spro 4 inch bbz-1
I was using a Dobyns 735 Savvy last year with the 4" BBZ-1, even though I didn't end up catching anything with it the 735ss handled them well. Although the 735 handles a lot of things well!

Re: Elite Tech Smallmouth
Those do look nice. I would love smallmouth specific rods for when I am wading for them, well maybe just a ML rod for mepps and maybe a topwater rod although my Powell 684cb does a great job with topwaters for smallies.
I wonder what the 10 actions are? and price?

Does anyone have any experience with these? A local tackle shop just started carrying them and wanted some opinions since I pretty much like everything else they make. IMO they actually don't look all that great but looks can be deceiving! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Cultiva_Gobo_Popper/des...
