Re: crankin reel

People say it doesn't, I think it does, especially on an easy roll cast. They are tough reels, too, so I think they're great for cranking. The 6.3 or 7.3 would suit the task well. If you reel righty, there's the low gear model to consider, but I don't feel like there's much utility outside of crank...

That's awesome, a 7'7" that only weighs 4.5 oz. I have the glass version and even it's only an ounce heavier.

Re: Best Casting Reel for Lite Crankbaits?

My T3 SV and SS SV both excel for this task, but they are on light bfs and med light regular fast rods and spooled with 20# power pro super slick, so that's an important part of the equation. My personal favorite baits are the 1/4 oz duo 48sr and 3/16 rozante 63sp. I also use them for spinbait 80's,...

Re: stone metal fire carbon handles

There are basszome, bassarea, lexima, custom carbon, and others. I'm looking at the 80mm model for my ss sv. It weighs 23 grams, but Most of them are around 30 grams which seems heavy to me for a carbon handle, but I've never had one or weighed my aluminum ones, so I wouldn't know. That is for the h...

stone metal fire carbon handles

Anyone have experience with these handles (Lexima, Bridge, etc...) available through eBay? They look nice and the price is right

Re: Best Palming Reel?

The t3 gear/handle geometry is awesome. Makes it ultra low profile. I think it was made to fit an ACS reel seat. Surprising they don't implement that in other reels.

I only cover one because it's Mg. It's a TW neoprene cover. Works great.

Re: crankin reel

I had trouble with that 4.9:1 left lexa twice. Before it messed up, it was great, but a tatula is worth the extra $40.

Re: Best $300ish baitcaster for skipping jigs around docks

Cracker is on point imo. Mag brakes (esp Daiwa) is the way to go. Personally I use t3 1016's. Love them and think they're very underrated but everyone knows how fantastic the 1016 spool is. Ive yet to try an sv reel but I'd really like to give the alphas a shot. That said I did recently buy a 13 Fi...

Re: Daiwa SV105HSL or Steez SV103XSL?

Does the sv105 have the non-disengaging levelwind like its alphas twin? Does that mean that the level tracks back and forth only when drag is being pulled or during a cast as well? Doesn't this hurt casting distance/light bait casting? Not in the market,y next will most likely be a Steez sv 8.1, ju...
