Calcutta 201 DC upgrade bearings to the next level

Hi all, At this moment I do have ABEC 7 Boca bearings in my 201 DC. I am wondering if I upgrade to ABEC 9 I will get a performance gain. I do not realize a very big performance improvement when I upgraded from the original bearings to ABEC 7. Do I am going to be able to cast lighter lures? Please po...

Re: Old, original Calcutta 200TE's

Agree!

My old TE GTs and TE DCs stand above any others reels I owned/tested and those maybe does not look new anymore, but still perform flawlessly.

Calcutta te201dc question

Hi, I would like to install one of those anti-reverse pawls in my calcutta TE 201 DC and I assume that the part BTN 2404 from a Calcutta TE 201 would fit fine. If there any other reels that I can "borrow" that pawl from? I am thinking of reels from the curado line like a curado 201E7 or from a cardi...

Re: Curado 200E vs Curado 200DHSV

... Casting - the Curado 200E's, hands down, cast farther and better at lighter stuff than my Curado 100D's due to the lighter spool of the 200E. Definitely not. The spool of the curado 100d is lighter. Data: Curado 100 D 12.6 Curado 200 E7 13.8 The the facts that the 100d hold less line , it makes...

Re: Technique

Does any one have a technique or lure you know you can load the boat with, but don't like using it? For me, it's a senko style bait. I know I can go out and catch fish all day but, I don't think I have ever caught one over 3lbs on one. Fishing in the wrong place maybe. Change fishing places often. /T
