Re: Shimano or Daiwa JDM reels
JDM Shimano can't be touched right now. Buncha Curado look alikes  The Aldebaran BFS looks decent. The rest is just so meh to me. Same looks, same paint, same ole rehashed Xship, DC, hell they're still touting Super Free from the Bantam days. With the lineup of SV reels Daiwa has brought out a...

Re: '14 Conquest Handle Upgrades
I upgraded my 201 with an avail 100 mm handle and I very happy with it.
My future 101 HG will have the same handle with yumeya knobs as on the picture above.
Here's my 201 beside an old 51.

Re: Why are Shimano reels so much smoother than Daiwa?
X4!! I used to have many reels from the BIG 3. Today I think Shimano has the upper hand. The SVS infinity system [borrowed or not] in combination with a S3D balanced spool , x-ship and MM gears are a game changer in the way how to build fishing reels. The good thing is : What are the other manufactu...

Re: Shimano Chronarch E vs Curado I?
I didn't try to understand?? ... True opinions are subjective, but don't make broad based assumptions. Cal's review is there in black and white and is as objective as it gets, and the TWS would have tied the Chronarch had it not been for the large ergonomics, and it's definitely not held in regard ...

Re: Shimano Chronarch E vs Curado I?
You are in the minority on palming ergos. Most guys love how the Curado I palms. In fact you are the first guy I can remember to say they didn't like the ergos. There are tons of Steez's for sale here but that doesn't make them a bad reel. Also If Cal truly put the brakes to one third on the Chrona...

It took me a while finding you post after I flushed the bearings of my Exsence some time ago, but I remembered I read it here @TT, so at the end I found it.JonasC wrote:

I am planing to go that way too. I will make some research first though. //TIAY wrote: I don't see why you can't swap the gears. I am pretty sure you can already port over the Ocea Conquest 6.2 gear to the 200s. Maybe someone can correct me.

Re: New Aldebaran and Metanium DC small pics and specs
well those guys @http://tzlure.com/ [according to what I read] are guessing :-({|= =D> ], but we probably know now! Shimano Aldebaran is highly specialized in finesse fishing. Its ultra light weight and small palming body allow you delicate, soft presentation in tough conditions. CI4+ material is us...
